Old City Building Center Warehouse Facility

For this 2nd year project, students were told to design a hypothetical facility for the non-profit organization Old City Building Center on an empty parking lot in Gert Town, New Orleans. The main use of the facility is to store various materials that were deconstructed from New Orleans buildings to be resold again. Conceptualizing the idea of taking things apart, the site was divided into four different buildings according to its programmatic components. In order to unify the site, the four separate buildings were interlocked with the air-conditioned offices/classrooms. The remaining courtyard spaces are used for exterior workspaces.
